PCOS hair removal - what works?

Have lots of downy hair on side of face & chin which I'm a bit fed up of! A bit worried about dermaplaning in case it makes the hair look darker or thicker...do I save up for electrolysis? Or will home IPL work? Any advice gratefully received!

I use this type of spring tool and it's brilliant! Cheap as chips and does the job.

I don't have PCOS but I prefer a totally smooth face. I saved loads of money having the threading done at a salon, and it only takes a few minutes.

Dermaplaning doesn’t change how the hair grows back, but you should get it done by a professional and not one of those cheap plastic Amazon razors!

I have PCOS and have found dermaplaning facials and then a session with my home Phillips laser hair thingy works a treat. It’s meant I don’t need to spend 5 minutes a day plucking beard hairs 😂

I don’t have PCOS but have laser removal every 4-6 weeks (chin and upper lip only). I bulk-buy sessions, so spend some £120 every 6-12 months for this. There’s hardly any growth now in-between sessions (which take 3-5 minutes tops).

Thanks all! Is it true that laser makes PCOS hair growth thicker or darker?

Laser is not permanent and if you want the hair to be gone forever, invest in electrolysis hair removal.

I do treatments of electrolysis on my eyebrows and upper lip area and loveeee the results. The hair does not grow back, and you just go in sessions until all the hair is gone forever. The sessions might start as every 2-3 weeks, but they are less as you have more hair removed.

My last session was before Thanksgiving and I don't see another session needed until the end of January. I started in March!
