The case for..

  • I've had my eye on it for over a year
  • I don't have a bag like it
  • It's reduced in the sale - £340 to £180

The case against

  • I'm saving up to renovate my home next year
  • My emergency fund only has two months expenses in it
  • It feels more 'want' than 'need'

Ohhhh looks lovely op. A classic that will last for years.

You inspired me to purchase a Pom Pom London bag. I spotted it 6 weeks or so ago and it was £100 but I’ve just bagged it for £53 🤣 not quite the same level of spend but I couldn’t decide.

Gorgeous bag stardust777, hope you enjoy using it!

Goldbar31 · 26/12/2025 21:37

Lovely bag - congrats

BluntQuoter · 26/12/2025 21:40

Hope it makes you very happy!!!

wand3rer · 27/12/2025 02:37

I was going to say absolutely not! You really do need to build more emergency funds first...

But it is a lovely bag 😅

I don’t know the brand. I'm tempted by some of their shoes 😊 Ever bought any from them?

Blingismything · 27/12/2025 03:15

Imagine you have £180 cash in one hand and the bag in the other hand, which would you rather have?

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 27/12/2025 08:41

Nice bag!

ChristmasMantleStatue · 27/12/2025 09:07

Just lovely. Smile

I get scared spending on myself but treated myself to a Tommy Hilfiger wallet before Christmas (and agonised about it) and it gives me such pleasure daily. Sometimes I just sit and stroke it. It feels like my first grownup purchase (and I am 52!)

I've only ever bought a dress - it got loads of compliments. Hopefully, the shoes are good too!

Yes, I got the red one.

I've also failed to resist temptation from H&M just now. The extra 15% off sale got me 😔

H&M dress

My 2026 resolutions are writing themselves at this point.

Do a no buy 2026. Buy what you want before NYD.

toomanydicksonthedancefloor1 · 27/12/2025 13:45

Can you affird it? Will it bring you joy? If you answered yes to both definitely get it and enjoy it.

toomanydicksonthedancefloor1 · 27/12/2025 13:46

Oh you already bought it - fantastic!

Perrylobster · 27/12/2025 13:48

I looked at that bag but I have a similar Gucci one so resisted!
I have just bought another Sandro bag though (YZA) and it’s well made and nice quality so I think you’ll be happy.

Joeninety · 27/12/2025 13:55

Are bags really so cheap now ? Thought you'd have to spend at least £1-1.5K ?

Matronic6 · 27/12/2025 17:10

If you have had your eye on it for over a year you clearly really like it, I don't think you'd get a better price so I would buy it.

lifeonmars100 · 27/12/2025 19:37

It's a lovely bag and will go with so much. I am a bit of a "cost per wear" person, so it you use it a lot it will soon not "cost" anything and it looks like the sort of bag that you will get a lot of use and pleasure from
