Roka Lucky Dip - it is not on this year?

Doesn't it always start on Boxing day?

I have only taken part once, as I live in another country so was nailed on custom fees. But I was tempted this time as I have a family member coming over and I could have it sent to them.

I only see a sale, not the lucky dip.

I got a great deal on a large backpack in the sale that was only slightly more than the 'large' lucky dip cost. Last year my large lucky dip item was a small backpack, which I do use all the time to be fair, but won't want another of.

Seemingly not but I suspect it was more trouble than it was worth. Just the amount of whinging on the Mumsnet thread was a testament to that. Loads of posters who can’t understand the concept of ‘lucky dip’ saying they’ve sent me a (insert bag design) in green. I hate green/it’s too small etc etc’ I’m sending it back. I suspect the admin effort in sorting it all out outweighed the benefits.

I think they had an issue last year where a bag was included in one of the categories that was below the advertised value.

I think also their range is now so big that it can't easily be fitted into three convenient categories.

The sale is on and I got a backpack that I actually wanted at half price, rather than two things I had to convince myself I wanted! So quite happy with no FOMO on the Lucky Dip 😊

I'm desperate for the Lucky Dip to come back.

Boo hiss for the fannyflaps who ruined it last year by complaining about everything.

I was also looking forward to a Lucky Dip. It feels like someone is giving you a present, there's a bit of excitement opening it. I was not thrilled with the one I got last year, very close in colour to the one I had - but a smaller size and I use it literally every day. So it worked out great for me.
I guess though, the returns admin must have been overwhelming.

Their sale is brilliant though. I got a tote bag and a wallet for less than half price. Not the fun of lucky dip but definitely two things I want.

I'm really sad there is no lucky dip. I have always done really well. 2 years ago I got a large Finchley in Forest and last year I got a medium black and grey Canfield. My SIL got me a City in teal for Christmas that was in the Black Friday sale but isn't reduced in this one, so I shouldn't complain.

I know I could buy something reduced (which is what I advised the whingers last year - just buy something on Black Friday with your £30) but it was fun!

There is a lucky dip. Just a few weeks later than normal. I got two bags. Love them both!

It finished yesterday, it was a shorter one this year.
