Wool coat that won’t swamp me (I’m 5ft3)

Any ideas? I also have very narrow shoulders so anything wide shouldered or without defined shoulders (eg with raglan sleeves or dropped shoulders) looks weird on me. I’m a size 10. I prefer single breasted - double again feels quite swamping! I love chocolate brown and there is so much brown in the shops I was sure I’d find something this year but not yet! I also like khaki green but don’t want to look military (!). I prefer buttons to a tie waist as I think that can look a bit bulky. Typing all this out I realise I am really very picky! I would also be up for a checked coat. Navy also a possibility. Not black or camel though; I look awful in them. Please help!

I always get the sleeves shortened on wool coats, just above the wrist. It avoids that "swamped" look and feeling.

My DD is 5’3” and a very petite size 6. She was having this same dilemma as she wanted a long wool coat that wouldn’t swamp her.

We found one in Uniqlo. They go down to xxs online but she has xs and it fits perfectly. They have a brown one. She has the charcoal grey which is lovely.

i got this yesterday - same height as you, don’t suit black/grey/camel either. I am mid size/pear shape with a tummy and found it flattering. The material felt more substantial than the Hobbs equivalent (wool content is a bit higher than the one I tried)

Oh this is nice, I love the big lapels, flattering for those of us with narrow shoulders
