Christmas Day outfit plans!

MakemineaGandT · 23/12/2025 01:00

I usually wear red for Christmas Day and this year I have a new sleeveless top (so no sleeves to flap about in the washing up and getting turkey grease on them!). I haven’t decided what to wear it with yet - either black trousers (boring but practical) or white ones (but worried about cooking in them).

What will your festive outfit be? 😊

PJ’s.

bookstack · 23/12/2025 06:39

We’re out for lunch on Christmas Day at a restaurant so I’ll be wearing black satin wide leg trousers, high heel leopard boots and an offensively heavily sequined top. The second I get home (about 4pm) I’ll be straight into pj’s.

Helpfullright · 23/12/2025 06:39

Pj’s

Iocanepowder · 23/12/2025 07:24

Jeans and sweater with snowy Hogwarts on. Kids and DH will be in xmas jumpers.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/12/2025 07:28

I’ve made a red tartan skirt. I’ve also got a red jumper, but they might feel too much paired. If so, it’ll be a black turtleneck with the skirt and I’ll wear the jumper with jeans on Christmas Eve.

UnimaginableWindBird · 23/12/2025 07:30

PJs with an indigo octopus print with a dark blue robe with leopard on it, followed by a dark green corduroy dress.

gogomomo2 · 23/12/2025 07:30

I own a red dress which I might wear, otherwise jeans, top and jumper as my parents house varies in temperature between Caribbean and chilly, depending upon if they light the wood fire. I don’t understand the pj’s thing, I would never wear nightclothes in the daytime ever

Fatrascal27 · 23/12/2025 07:32

Joggers and a hoodie!

DisplayPurposesOnly · 23/12/2025 07:46

Navy Christmas top with stripes and sequins plus navy leggings. Comfortable with a festive nod 😃

PortSalutPlease · 23/12/2025 07:48

Black sequin t shirt and some sparkly joggers - I’m cooking and peri so must avoid getting too hot at all costs, and anything nice will get trashed as DS has profound SEND.

EssaDiTractor96 · 23/12/2025 07:49

Red and gold midi skirt, gold jewellery, black poloneck, black slouchy boots (for ourside)

That sounds nice, googling sparkly joggers now.

Wearing this with some sheer black tights (with a pattern on). I may just throw my jeans on instead. Not planning on being out of PJ’s until about midday:

DP’s black tracksuit bottoms, a tee shirt, and socks.

Not a sequin in sight these days.

(Asda had some mesmerisingly shiny sequin outfits by the escalators a few weeks ago - they had all the sizes in red, blue or silver. Then they were quite quickly moved and reduced in price, so I don’t think they were really ‘all the rage’ even among hardcore sequin lovers.)

Isitoveryetitmustbe · 23/12/2025 07:59

Joggers and t shirt.

Would love to be able to dress nicely but I am the worst for splashing fat/oil over myself so don’t want to ruin anything so go comfy instead.

TheTowerAtMidnight · 23/12/2025 07:59

I'm on Team PJs. Won't be leaving the house, so no point getting dressed.

socks1107 · 23/12/2025 08:11

I’ve got a lovely black dress from Zara that’s an integrated silk skirt and I wore it to my daughters graduation this year so looking forward to getting it out again

Whatareyoutalkingaboutnow · 23/12/2025 08:21

Black yoga pants, very comfy, a loose silky t shirt with sequins on the front, again, comfy. Also a red not too warm cardigan.

Mine are from Tu. They are incredibly comfy!

Pineapplewaves · 23/12/2025 13:32

Christmas jumper and leggings - I’ll either be on the floor helping DC with presents and new toys or in the kitchen cooking so there’s no point in wearing my best. It would be different if I was a guest somewhere else though.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 23/12/2025 14:10

I think I'm going to go for a silver top and jeans, and once again (too late to actually put it on my wish list) wish I had an apron so I can keep it clean while cooking!

Spink86 · 23/12/2025 17:39

It's a weird one for me because it's the first time in years that we're not going to a restaurant but a family members home.
I am leaning towards some berry velvet wide leg trousers and either a black fitted jumper with sequin baubles on or a black long sleeve top with a knotted neckline. Sort of dressy but also comfy enough to crawl around on the floor with a 3 year old

Toomanysofttoys · 23/12/2025 17:42

A grinch onesie that was 79 quid but I got it for a tenner in last years sale.

Christmas Day outfit plans!
Mangomintmama · 23/12/2025 17:47

New Pyjamas for the whole Family!

henlake7 · 23/12/2025 17:57

A lovely oversized plaid maxi dress from Joanie and a cosy Christmas cardie, no pjs!
(TBF that's only coz I finish nightshifts on Christmas eve and will have spent all the run up in pjs!).

TidyCyan · 23/12/2025 17:58

Chelsea Peers pyjamas with dogs in Christmas hats on them. I think they were from TK Maxx 2 years ago.
