Non dressy Mulberry bag?

I’m in the market for a cross body bag and would like to go designer as a treat, I tend to either live in a Raab puffer or a trench style coat. I am assuming there is no handbag that goes with Raab?! (I’m not a handbag person tbh and do tend to just load my pockets!)

I’d like a cross body for my smarter outfits but not OTT, I LOVE the Darley and it is the perfect size for me but I find the gold too flashy (and I wear white gold jewellery), I wish they did it in black and silver hardware!

I’ve seen the Lily does silver but it’s too big for my needs, I’d rather something smaller. I’m drawn to Mulberry as a brand.

The mini alexa is is very useful. Looks good with a trench. versatile as a cross body or a top handle for going out. Have you considered the small Chloe Marcie? Find that very smart and practical too.

The Darley and Amberley satchels are nice. Sadly they’ve discontinued the Tessie satchel, I’ve got two and they’re perfect for everyday.

I’ve got a few Mulberry bags and I got the Billie this year as a casual option. It looks quite plain online but it’s actually really nice in real life

There’s always a lot of recommendations on Mumsnet for the mini Alexa - I have one and I love it, but I find it too small for everyday. The normal/classic size is perfect I think. Not particularly comfortable for crossbody though.

That’s interesting, I’ve just googled it and I think it might be too big for me. I literally only want to carry phone, cards and a little wallet for tampons and painkillers etc, and I’d like the minimum size I can get away with!

Thanks for the recommendations, maybe I do need to look at the crossovers without a chain to lose the dressy look.

The Anthony? It’s my everyday bag and going strong after 13yrars.
it goes with everything and holds a huge amount of stuff. There is a smaller version if it’s a beater look you’re going for.
The strap is nice and long and can be adjusted for thinner/thicker coats

You should be fine for that, I always carry a mini umbrella and sunglasses no matter what!

If you look at pre loved sites you can find the darley with silver hardwear

This one is sod out, but I got the same bag from one of the mulberry outlet shops . It was a few years ago now

The Anthony. Every single time. I had one. Dsis borrowed it 18 months ago.
It’s living its best life. This year it has been to Denver, Newmarlet, NYC and Boston and Garda. It had a better life with her and is declining to return.
