Boots for man in early 20s

If you were buying a pair of boots for casual wear with jeans for a man in his early 20s, what would you buy? I’m thinking up to £150 but could spend more. Probably brown? Thank you.

I would never buy a pair of boots for a man in his 20s, or indeed anyone over 10! Surely it’s something that needs to be chosen yourself, and even if you or they happy for you to choose, they’d still need to be tried on for fit?!

Redwing but would be more than £150

DS is 21 and loves his boots. He has DMs, a pair of Chelsea boots for 'best', several pairs of converse and walking boots. His favourites are always the DMs

DH and DS share a taste for good boots (think Sam Vimes). They both like Cheaney's, DS likes Redwings, and DH generally buys the Barbour RM Williams dupes, which are the only ones under £150, for work.

Ds wears Blundstones.

And I honestly don’t work for them but if anyone needs advice on sizing of Blundstones or Rossi or the like, the girls at Aussieboots are fantastic!

Thanks all. I’ve ordered a couple of pairs of Dr Martens and Red wings for him so hopefully at least one will fit nicely. I’ll keep the others in mind if the ones I have ordered are no good. The red wings are pricier but I really like them. Thanks again.
