In a size 9 ( big feet!)

Quite smart/dressy (to wear at a wedding)

Any suggestions?

hmm they're a good start lapin, but I was hoping for something a bit... dunno... I daren't say funkier because i hate that word, but something a bit more....

I was thinking a bronzey type colour or something similar.

Topshop have some good ones, though at a quick look only these in a 9. They look nice but maybe not dressy/exciting enough?

HeadFairy · 10/06/2008 21:37

hmmmm still not taken, so sorry Lapin, I'm being really fussy. Not something I should be really considering big shoes aren't exactly everywhere...

YOu do want flat ones, though, do you? Or a heel?

HeadFairy · 10/06/2008 21:40

now if these came in a 43... I think they're nearer what I was picturing.

OP posts:
HeadFairy · 10/06/2008 21:44

sorry, I think flat... to go with this dress

OP posts:
JackieNo · 10/06/2008 21:44

These?

JackieNo · 10/06/2008 21:47

More of a flipflop really, but nice.

HeadFairy · 10/06/2008 21:47

oooh now those are really nice jackie... do you reckon gold would be ok with that dress?

OP posts:
harpomarx · 10/06/2008 21:48

great minds, HeadFairy, those were the ones I picked! Sorry, I thought 42 was a 9?

JackieNo · 10/06/2008 21:53

I think gold would be OK. Maybe bronze better, but worth a try, I reckon. Metallics are almost neutrals, in that they don't have to match exactly, as long as the general colour palette works . imo, of course.

Are these too ordinary?

Headfairy, whats your dress like?

HeadFairy · 10/06/2008 21:56

sadly harpomarx, a 9 is a 43. 42 would be a dream

I'm not keen on those last ones jackie... a bit clunky. I'm having second thoughts now the other thread has started up, don't want to look like I've got stumpy legs (even though I'll be wearing a maxi dress) so I think the strappier and minimal the better.

OP posts:
HeadFairy · 10/06/2008 21:57

No cod? I have such huge problems with the size of my feet... do you think they'd look like giant strappy planks?

OP posts:
HeadFairy · 10/06/2008 21:57

maidamess I posted a link below...

maidamess · 10/06/2008 21:59

this might be more girly? also in size 9

maidamess · 10/06/2008 22:02

on second thoughts better ones on here. hadn;t seen dress link before.

harpomarx · 10/06/2008 22:19

these? or these? loads more large sizes on same website, though most a bit frumpy. Where do you normally buy your shoes?

HeadFairy · 10/06/2008 22:42

it's a bit depressing harpomarx, I usually go to Next as all their shoes go up to a 43, or I wear trainers... when desperate I have been known to wear flip flops that are a 42 with my heels hanging off the back of them. Sometimes I just can't bring myself to wear men's shoes and just want something from a high street shop that's girly!
