Hair&Me + collagen/biotin?

I've been taking collagen & biotin in an attempt to improve my menopausal hair, but it's not really working so I've decided to switch to hair & me (minoxidil). Do I still take collagen & biotin?
Collagen has strengthened my nails, so I'm quite keen to continue with that, despite the cost. What have other people done?

I’ve given up biotin, it’s not made any difference to my hair. I take collagen for joint protection, and not hair. I don’t think it does much for hair.

I take collagen, but also bought pumpkin seed oil capsules with saw palmetto which have helped, but my hair has always been thin. The loreal elvive anti hair fall shampoo and conditioner is also pretty good (as is plantur 39) and I also use the plantur 39 hair tonic every morning
I did start taking biotin for about a month but it didn't make much difference so I didn't buy any more once I had run out

I found that Plantur39 made my hair feel funny, I didn’t like it.

Correction, I think it's the biotin which is helping my nails, not the collagen.

I’ve found a square of jelly daily helps my nails.

I think HRT has helped my hair. I take collagen for my joints.

Late to this thread. I had just ordered some Nutrition Geeks biotin for my nails. I have read it takes 3 months to show in your nails obviously. I have a good diet and my hair is ok at 54 but my nails have never been great. I don’t want salon nails that need filling/ removing so I’m hoping this improves them. My aim is shortish neutral nails that don’t split and break. I also have dry cuticles and am using Elizabeth Arden 8 hr hand cream . I paint my nails with Sally Hansen nail rehab but it peels inevitably

Biotin really helped me but it took about 3 months to be noticeable. My diet was appalling prior to that so I stepped up with multivitamins, minerals and a biotin supplement along with more protein.

I've been taking biotin and collagen for a while but my hair only improved when I took Hair + me (3 months in now) so I probably won't buy any more collagen or biotin

My nails were doing really well, but they've just stopped growing for the last month or so. I'm not sure if the Minoxidil is causing it, or if it's because I switched collagen. I'm switching back to A&B marine collagen to see if that helps.
I'm definitely experiencing hair-shedding, even though I'm only on 0.5mg minoxidil.

Hi I'm 55 on HRT and had noticed my hair had less body to it (a bit thinner) 😬 and also my joints were a bit stiff. I do workout most days some weights and i run 4 x a week so I new I needed some support for joints. I started Hair + Me tablets 0.5mg daily and did have some shedding for the 😂 10 weeks but its settled down and I think is filling in a bit more finally. However I started taking Elavate about three weeks ago for joints and skin and do think the collagan has made quite difference in my joints. Too early to know what the full effects on my skin is yet but I'm not creaking as much especially in the morning at my ankles knees and one shoulder so I'll keep with it. I tried Kollo and Absoluters subscriptions about 2/3 years ago but stopped soon after as I found I had to force myself to take it as the taste wasn't for me. I have to like something to be consistent. A friend suggested Elavate as she had been taking it for a few months, had stopped while on holiday and noticed a difference in her joints for stopping. She restarted as soon as she got back and within about 2 weeks was painfree again so that swayed me to try it. The chocolate powder is my bedtime treat. I dont forget to take chocolate...ever! 😂 I just have to hide it from my husband as he thinks its free for all! I just got sent a discount code from them so if anyone is thinking of trying it for a month this should be able to give you £10 off or so it says. I also found K18 which is a leave in conditioner really helps to strengthen my hair and I think I have way less breakage which has been great. I dont use a regular conditioner just a pump of the K18 on towel wet hair, leave fpor about 5 minutes before drying. 🙂 Anyway thats my experience and if it helps anyone else great X Discount Code link is https://www.elavate.com/JACQUELINE38841

I'm using Hair & Me - let me know if you want a code.

I reckon 4-5 months I saw a difference. I also take biotin and I'm on HRt (I have been on HRT for 2 years and didn't notice much improvement in my hair shed.
