Gladiator sandals. Yay or nay?

I have never really thought they were my style (I don't really do Sienna Miller-esque boho chic), but my mum commented that she had seen a pair in Office that she thought would look really nice on me.

She's thrown me now. Do I need to buy them?

Unless you've got long, thin legs, they're a nay.

My mother sent some for my filly-legged DD1 and they look fab.

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 13:18

OK, then no. Am 5ft 5. And my legs are not necessarily what you might call 'thin'. Not that they're bad legs, on the whole.

Am always looking for an excuse for more shoes, but I feel this may not be one of those times.

Yay.

Very on trend for this season, and also were for S/S07 so chances of them being alright for next year are high.

They are really lovely, flattering and comfortable. Get some!

DirtySexyMummy · 10/06/2008 13:19

YES IT IS

I'm 5'5" too.

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 13:19

Confused now.

here

Yes??

DirtySexyMummy · 10/06/2008 13:20

Gorgeous.

Gobbledigook · 10/06/2008 13:21

Nay - I think they are heeeeeedious

expatinscotland · 10/06/2008 13:21

Thin legs.

Otherwise they're like cropped trousers - instant calf thickeners.

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 13:21

I quite like the gold ones too. Are they a bit 'rhinestone jumpsuit' though?

Buy them in France.20euros in carrefour and always in Elle.

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 13:22

Its clearly a controversial shoe.

PinkJenny - you are 31. Buy them.

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 13:27

This is true, I am 31. And I think they are a style risk I may be prepared to take. But I do like the gold ones too...

OP posts:
DirtySexyMummy · 10/06/2008 13:29

Either will look good. Not a risk.

Hova · 10/06/2008 13:30

Definitely a YAY

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 13:32

Oh OK then, I'll buy them. Am going to go for gold. Slightly less harsh than black, and can wear with white.

Excited!

DirtySexyMummy · 10/06/2008 13:34

I have gold ones too. And black ones.

You'll love them

Oliveoil · 10/06/2008 13:36

yes on long thin legs (ie mine )

not on heffalumps I see out of my window, with the straps cutting their circulation off

those Office ones are nice, I see some that go half way up the leg and they are minging

they ARE a leg shortener though imo, better off with strappy sandal like these

Pinkjenny · 10/06/2008 13:36

I've bought the gold ones. And a pair of flip flops too.
