Dry, fine, frizzy hair with oily scalp. Help.

NC for this!

My hair is getting me down. It's fine, but there used to be a lot of it - unfortunately it is thinning because of lupus (autoimmune disease, causes hair loss). I also have some very mild mixed psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp. The result is that it my roots tend to be oily and the top of my hair gets greasy quickly, whereas the ends are dry. It is simultaneously lank and coarse!

I have bleach based highlights, but do this infrequently (2-3 times per year) because of the impact of bleach on hair condition.

I don't blow dry my hair ever or use any tool with heat. (This is because I can't lift my arms enough to do it because of the impact of lupus on my joints. My hair is blow dried only at the hairdresser.)

I am 45. There are some grey hairs creeping in, and they seem to be particularly coarse. Hair is roughly shoulder length and wavy.

Help?! I keep thinking I should be using a rich conditioner/mask/oil on the lengths of the hair, but the choice is overwhelming. I really like the colour, so would ideally like something to maintain that. I currently use the John Freida blonde range.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

I have fine, frizzy hair and have tried a million things. This is the shampoo and conditioner I like the most by a long way, although I buy it at Home Bargains where it's £3.99.

I have fine and frizzy hair. I use this preshampoo/shampoo /conditioner https://amzn.eu/d/9p1ZQrZ I think the preshampoo does most of the work.

I use a hair mask once a week ish and leave it on for a good 10 min. Currently using one from aldi which is fine, I also like garnier hair food

I use this https://amzn.eu/d/9dXxROX on the ends and lengths to reduce frizz

Then I spray with heat defence spray and blow dry.
I find that when I don't blow dry, my scalp ends up getting greasy after a day (ends are still oil free). If I dry it, it lasts 3 days. I understand that you can't lift your arms to dry your hair, but are you able to rest your arms on your knees and blow dry the roots with your head upside down/leaning forward?

@AngelaTheBaker thank you so much for the suggestions! I haven't tried using the hair dryer in that position so will have a go 🙂

Are you using nizoral on your roots a few times a week?

then shampoo with a clarifying shampoo and a nice conditioner.

then spray in a leave in, add a nice oil on top (ends only) and if you can get help, blow dry the roots at least.
