Biotin tablets to make hair grow

Has anyone had any success with this? I've recently started taking them after a particularly terrible haircut but I can't tell if they're actually doing anything. I would love to believe they'll make my hair grow faster but don't want to keep taking them if the general word is they don't do much. Anyone have an experience to share?

I don't think they've made any difference to my hair but mine grows quickly anyway. However they have had an amazing effect on my nails. They used to be brittle and break all the time. Now I have to cut them because they get too long.

It takes around 6 months for a proper impact to be made. It's supposed to improve your hair quality and can encourage hair growth but it's not a quick fix unfortunately.
Don't stop taking it as it will do you no harm and will improve the strength and quality of your hair regardless of if it grows any faster.

I took biotin daily for two months and zero changes in my hair. Ive not noticed any changes in my nails but ive good good nails anyway.
ive tried rosemary oul for a month and no changes either…
so now that i have stopped biotin and rosemary oul, im using john frieda anti freeze, repair shampoo and conditioner and i think it helps a bit by minimising breakage. It doesnt make my hair grow but at leat im not losing as much. Its not brilliant but every little bit helps

I asked tge dermatologist o spent £££ said its a waste of time.

For me i was recommended to take folic acid and iron supplements instead.

I tried everything known to man including biotin and nothing made one bit of difference to my increasingly thinning hair. I had a bob for years but it had become so thin it never looked good. I took the bull by the horns and had a pixie. I love it and get so many compliments, I wish I’d done it years earlier.
