How to turn my shower into a spa

I used to love having a long luxurious bath pre-kids, but just don't have the time these days. So, I've been thinking of ways to turn my shower into a spa like experience.

I've seen shower steamers - are they any good? What about shower massages or really luxurious shower gel? Ideas for quick weekday showers as well as longer weekend ones welcome!

Shower radio. I used to have one, it sparked so much joy, you can sing and dance while washing your hair. Plus one song is a good way of measuring time so you don't stay in there too long

Lovely idea - but the one thing I like about the shower is no noise 😆

I've just remembered I've got a £25 boots voucher... so any recs from there would be great 😆

M&S do a “everything shower “ gift set and I highly recommend for a boujee shower.
it includes a shower steamer which was lovely

I always think oversized products feel spa like and indulgent. Especially when they have pump dispensers rather than having to fiddle with lids. M&S do a lovely shower gel in their Apothecary range which gives spa vibes but at a good price. The bottle is plastic but they look great and are easy to keep clean. You can top up with the refill pouches.

An aromatherapy steam diffuser in the room. Putting it on for a few minutes before you shower will fill the room with a spa like scent. Eucalyptus is particularly lovely but you could switch according to time of day or mood.

I recently bought a pair of exfoliating gloves from Boots which hang in my shower. They are so much easier & effective to use than a more traditional exfoliating mitt. Highly recommend.

Spritz the shower with a non-rinse cleaning spray after use. Method has an Ylang Ylang scented version which keeps the space feeling clean and fresh.

I hang eucalyptus in my shower. I also turn off the lights and use fairy lights. I replaced old towels with big fluffy ones a while ago. You could also get an essential oil diffuser. I tried shower steamers but didn’t find they worked very well.

Gorgeous refillable dispensers and deliciously scented products.

I brought myself a lovely rituals gift set a few weeks back and love it. It's smells lovely and just feels luxurious. It was reduced to about £27 and had a foaming shower gel, shower oil, moisturizer and hair and body spray.

You need these. I buy them in the USA but you can get on Amazon.

Following closely as I'm a big fan of a shower! My recommendation would be for Japanese wash cloths - leave my skin feeling super smooth and feel a bit more indulgent to use than a flannel, sponge etc.
