I have two: Stella McCartney camera bag for phone, keys, etc. and a Dior Book Tote for when I have to carry more things.

Both are vegan.

Ohhhtheshameofit · 07/12/2025 05:42

Never counted but probably 40 ish? I love them and I do use them all. A mix of totes, cross body, clutches and top handle.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 07/12/2025 06:35

About 30. Half are vintage Mulberry.

sciaticafanatica · 07/12/2025 08:32

Bags are my weakness so I would prefer not to incriminate myself

evilharpy · 07/12/2025 08:42

No idea. Absolutely no clue. Wild guess maybe 40? Some are for only very occasional use like a wedding, some are used very often. More have been bought second hand than new. If the house was on fire and I only had time to grab one it would be a black Mulberry mitzi convertable tote with brown straps which is, by a long way, the best bag I have ever owned and the most used.

66babe · 07/12/2025 08:50

Too many 😩😩😩

FuelledByRageAndHaribo · 07/12/2025 08:51

69

shellyleppard · 07/12/2025 08:51

Just two....a everyday large cross body bag and a backpack for holidays

Comefromaway · 07/12/2025 08:52

i have five

everyday black Mulberry work bag
brown Dents bag I use for work/shopping if it matches my outfit better than bksck
old black Bottega messenger bag for casual days
black Bottega crossbody bag for evenings/gigs etc
creamy beige Dents bag that matches an outfit I wore for a wedding

Alexadidzammomarryjackie · 07/12/2025 08:55

20 ish. I had a cull recently. None are designer, but many I've had for 20+ years. I love bags and swap them about to suit what I'm wearing/the event.

Poppolo · 07/12/2025 16:29

A rucksack, a travel bag and a canvas tote. No handbags. Never need one.

CharlotteCChapel · 07/12/2025 19:13

Too many, and end up only using one.

henlake7 · 07/12/2025 20:16

Probably between 20-30.
They are all cheap ones though.

Serenity45 · 07/12/2025 20:37

Over 100 but I am in the middle of streamlining and my sisters are waiting to pounce. I very rarely buy bags now but in my mid 20s / early 30s I definitely had a habit...only a handful of expensive ones though (3 Fendis 1 LV 1 MiuMiu 1 Bottega Veneta). Lots of mid/low range like DKNY Orla Kiely Radley and some really nice quality leather M&S bags. I do tend to use a core of about 10 on rotation then realise and dig some of the others out.

NotrialNodeal · 07/12/2025 20:42

One handbag, one backpack, many shopping bags and some luggage.

Comedycook · 07/12/2025 20:44

Longchamps classic one...
Louis Vuitton never full
Oliver bonas cross body black handbag
Aldo tan cross body
Cheap Primark cream/gold bag for evening
Two beach bags
Black velvet and gold handbag from oasis

A few others stuffed at the back of the cupboard that I never ever use and should probably sell/throw away

HoneyParsnipSoup · 07/12/2025 20:47

1 leather backpack (old one from Jack Wills but I love it!)
Crossbody white leather bag from Kate Spade
Black suede slouchy shoulder bag from Topshop
Small burgundy leather satchel on a gold chain - can’t remember where I bought it
Gold fully sequin banana bag from Topshop
Silver drawstring pouch bag on a chain from Zara

And a few more miscellaneous cheaper ones from years gone by but are retired and I will vinted them at some point.

DramaAlpaca · 07/12/2025 20:47

I'm not sure I can admit to how many bags I have, even anonymously on here Blush

It's a lot, but in my defence I'm getting on a bit and have been collecting them for years. Only a handful are designer, Mulberry and Strathberry, as most designer bags are too flashy for my taste.

There'll be another bag under the tree for me at Christmas; I spotted it on holiday and persuaded DH to get it for me. It's an artisan one, not expensive, and it's lovely.

soocool · 07/12/2025 20:51

Too many but no designer ones. All used for different reasons/occasions. I have a thing about airplane hand luggage and am constantly searching for the perfect underseat bag. Haven't found it yet, so therefore I have many that I bought but didn't work for me. I'm using a cheap very light ryanair size backpack now and it's getting close to being the best so far, only cost £20.

I don't like bags with just hand handles, must have a long adjustable strap that can be worn over shoulder (rare for me) or cross body (most of the time). Cross body leaves hands free, and is safer in crowds. A wide strap works for large of nork.

RosesAndHellebores · 07/12/2025 20:54

12 - just counted. Range from Oliver Bonas to Gucci. Mostly inbetween Coach, Longchamps, etc.p

ReignOfError · 07/12/2025 20:54

One large shoulder bag, one sling bag, two clutch bags, two day packs, one beach bag/holdall, a gym bag, two rucksacks, so that’s 11.

penguinsinthecupboard · 07/12/2025 21:00

2 everyday handbags the same but one blue and one cream.
1 nicer bag for wearing out looking smarter for my judgy mum.
1 changing bag for the pushchair.
About 10 foldaway bags to keep in bags for shopping.

ShiningSummit · 07/12/2025 21:05

Four rucksacks, one cross body bag, one string bag, two freebie tote bags, two cycle panniers.

loveawineloveacrisp · 07/12/2025 21:06

9, all designer. Love handbags.

Fleurdalys · 07/12/2025 21:11

3 Aldi ones and a couple of Co op
