I’ve just bought myself a new handbag and wondering what others have in theirs. Mine has mostly been child related for the last 5 years and I find if I go out without them I don’t tend to take one but would like to start

Currently... a medical kit, a bobble hat, two mobile phones, a pack of medication, an inhaler, a packet of gluten-free biscuits, a water bottle, two sets of keys, an A4 information pack, a notebook and pen, gloves, a wallet, a map and a small umbrella. It's a big handbag and I'm on a school residential trip Grin

Mine is empty but upon leaving the house it will contain keys and a phone.

Purse, phone, keys, specs case, a couple of Oxfam sari silk fold up shopping bags, kindle, pen, sometimes diary, lighter (I don't smoke), penknife, comb, hair claw, chewing gum.
Plus a lot of random rubbish that needs to be cleaned out, like receipts, post its, coins, safety pins, small shopping items, gloves…

SocksAndTheCity · 05/12/2025 17:16

Phones, plug in charger and power bank, keys, Oyster card, tissues, earphones, woolly hat and gloves, shopping bag, water bottle, mints, lip balm and hand cream, ibuprofen, wallet and card holder, small torch and pen.

Also a couple of sturdy plastic teaspoons since so many places replaced them with wooden ones which are horrible (I go to the cinema a lot and I like ice cream) Smile

I have a military style backpack as I am not one for handbags. Currently have power bank and several different charging leads. Notepad and several pens, tissues, panty liners, spare underwear, tape measure, work keys and lanyard, sachets of coffee, sugar, teabags and salt and pepper. Tissues, torch and spare batteries, some cordage, a couple of military style glow sticks, paracetamol, ibuprofen, indigestion tablets, plasters, tweezers, flashing arm bands for the dark, a carrier bag, safety pins of various sizes, a multi tool, a flint and steel, a few antibac wipes, a lighter, spare ecig juice and coils, a trolley token, two types of lip balm and my wallet. We went for a rare night out earlier and I took my girly handbag, and felt lost without my "stuff".
