T-section vs half head highlights in and out of london

I used to always have 1/2 head but with inflation and adding the cost of a cut and blow dry, i cannot afford this anymore

what about a t-section, slightly cheaper, and it covers the roots at the top. Is this enough?

should i do a at home glaze pr even non permanent colour before a t section? (Just to get better coverage?

i am mousey blonde with some white hair

also i live in london and work outside london. Ive noticed the prices are cheaper outside:
half head highlight (£111 london, technician) vs £75 (set price. outside ldn, no indication of seniority)
for the cut and blow dry! £85 (london, stylist) vs £50 (long hair, no indication of level of seniority, small salon outside ldn).
Is this usual? Or should i be careful…
£196 in london vs £125 on the green belt… shall i risk it? Or should i be better off doing a t-section in london?

I would definitely get it done outside of London in any case, if you aren’t particularly attached to current hairdresser?
I have altered my colour to make it low maintenance and the hairdresser said lots of people are doing this, so I think if you explain to whoever it is what you’re after in terms of maintenance then they can advise accordingly.
