'Not black' funeral dress, December

We've been invited to the funeral of a very close family friend (think families entwined since childhood kinda thing) at the end of the month, dress code is not black.

My work is casual dress and I've put on a stone since I last wore proper formal wear so a genuine nothing to wear situation. Obviously the shops are full of sequins and sparkle at the moment, anyone got ideas for reasonably priced, wearable-again, not-black funeral attire?

Sorry for your loss.
Personally, I'd wear existing black or navy trousers and a colourful blouse and blazer. Or a dress? Do you have a budget in mind? Also look at Vinted/ebay.

Sorry for you loss. Firstly I think your presence will be way more important than what you wear so I would try not to worry about it too much! I lost my dear Dad fairly recently - it was big funeral, church and crematorium but we had no dress code and people turned up in all sorts - nobody minded and I can’t say I noticed what people were wearing so I wouldn’t stress!
