Jeans... if not trainers, then what footwear?!

I have some huge wide jeans and a pair of bootcut/flares but have no idea what to wear on nights out now we're into winter and trainers don't seem dressy enough.

I tried on some heeled pointy boots the other day which actually looked ok but I felt so '90s' and not in a good way. What style of boot/shoe are you wearing with flared or wide jeans at the moment?

Lug sole boots
Converse high tops

I wear similar with chunky loafers (either brown or an oxblood colour). I like the slightly seventies vibe!

Mou eskimo boots when it's cold but dry enough for them to not get in a mess. Converse or DMs the rest of the time.

I want to wear loafers but my feet will be so bloody cold!

Ankle boots

DMs, esp. now it's chilly. I sometimes look clown-esque, but I don't care.

Rieker boots every time. They come in black, white brown and leopard. I love mine and they fit snugly round the ankle.
