Reasonably priced cashmere jumpers

Hi all, as the title says really…I’m looking to buy a reasonably priced cashmere jumper. Well two really for my upcoming trip. I’ll be wearing a puffa jacket over the top so it can’t be too bulky. If not cashmere, what else would be good under a coat to help me layer up and keep warm? Thanks.

Uniqlo - they still have a sale on today I think.

They also sell thermal tops.

Merino wool is nice and light but also warm. A bit cheaper than cashmere.

I've had some cashmere from TK Maxx,but obviously it depends what they have in. M&S. I mostly buy online from Pure.

The Uniqlo cashmere mix thermal turtleneck is one of my favourites. It’s really soft, lightweight and warm. I have it in two colours. I wear it either as a standalone or underneath jumpers.

Boden has nice pure cashmere jumpers.

Does it need to be beautiful? If its just for warmth I've been buying ones in vinted with holes in and daring them - worth it for the warmth. They're normally around £10-£15 for pure cashmere.

I like the fine Merino wool jumpers from M&S,about £35. Good for layering.

I look out for Cashmere on eBay and have got some nice pieces for less than £30, I’m careful on condition though.

Don't bother with The White Company. Doesn't wash well.

I once treated myself to a cashmere jumper. I wore it once and it’s remained in the back of a drawer ever since. I found it unbearably hot and really itchy!

John Lewis own brand cashmere washes really well and has a good range of cuts and colours.

Thank you everyone, there’s some places you’ve suggested that I’ve never even tried before. Is cashmere always itchy @Soontobe60 ?

I think I must be sensitive to certain wools - I itch with lambswool too!
