Teeth Whitening: in-surgery or Boutique?

Sorry if this has been done elsewhere, I’ve searched for a thread but can’t find one that’s specific!

I’d like to get my teeth whitened - my surgery does either in-surgery for £386, or at home with the Boutique system for £328. Does anyone have experience with either?

I’ve looked at the Boutique website, it sounds like using the trays at night is better because you can use a higher grade of peroxide, but I grind my teeth at night so I think I it probably wouldn’t be a good idea.

Is the in-surgery much better? Thanks in advance!

I do Boutique and its been great. I was really surprised how white my teeth got, and since I have the trays I can just do a couple of nights top up as and when I feel like it. The tubes of gel aren't expensive as an ongoing thing

I’ve got the boutique whitening with trays but haven’t used it yet. Like you I was worried about teeth grinding so I got the day time one to use. I think it’s an hour a day or something

I used Boutique. My results weren’t outstanding but they were quite good. I did it in preparation for composite bonding which I’ve since had and my teeth look well. I got the day trays as I struggle to keep things in my mouth (strong gag reflex) which is something to consider. You can also just buy the gel for a top up once you have proper trays made. Laser was a waste of money for me, slow and steady gel plus giving up red wine did the trick. Best of luck!

Thanks both - my concern is my coffee drinking which I’m worried might undo it!
