Please help me find a dress for a winter wedding

I'm going to a wedding in January. I have autism so struggle with some textures. I need to find a soft feeling dress that looks smart enough for a wedding and will also keep me warm. I'm a size 14 and 5'7" tall. So far I haven't found anything. I hardly ever wear dresses as I struggle with the feeling. I don't like wearing black, I think I look best in burgundy or green.Does anyone have any suggestions?

You know you don’t have to wear a dress? You could look equally smart and celebratory in a trouser suit or a blouse and skirt / trousers. What would you like to be wearing?

If I had completely free choice I would wear jogging bottoms and a hoodie! But I know that's not appropriate. I'm expected to wear a dress.

Have a look at Ghost. I think their dresses feel lovely on and they have quite a lot of burgundy and green. If you are going to be in a very warm hotel then maybe one of their satin crepe dresses, of if the service is in a drafty church then maybe velvet like this https://www.ghost.co.uk/madison-velvet-midi-tea-dress-burgundy-d11g018-l93

I also have autism and am really fussy with clothes textures. My most enjoyable “dressy” outfits are velvet ones from Jolie Moi- they have a variety of flattering shapes and I find the velvet soft and cosy to wear.

I have a wrap style one, but I love this one too, it looks like it would be “simple” to wear and I think would look good with flats if you don’t fancy heels:

Cowl Neckline Draped Velvet Midaxi Dress, Burgundy Polka Dot

The Draped Cowl Velvet Dress by Jolie Moi is made from soft, luxurious velvet. It features a sleeveless design with gathered detailing at the shoulder and a flattering cowl neckline. Subtle gathers at the bodice shape the fit, while soft pleats complem...

Just seen you want to keep warm too- there are long sleeved ones on the website too!

I don't think I'd cope with that particular design as I can't manage off the shoulder type things. I like the colour though. I'll see what else they have, thanks
