Can anyone help me find shoes for this dress?

I’ve just bought this Whistles dress from Vinted. It’s a lace tired dress in black and comes up about 4 inches above my knee. I actually used to own this dress years ago and loved it, so I’ve managed to track it down I a larger size.
I’m struggling to find shoes to go with it, needed for this weekend at a party. I can do mid to high ish heels
I can only find platform style shoes, which are too heavy for this style

I don’t want sling backs or anything too strappy, as I want to wear tights

Yes agree a bit delicate is better than platforms given the lace. Maybe sheer black tights (or nude although sheer black seems more in right now) and pointy heels. You could wear with a round toe if going for a vintage look.

What bag and jewellery are you thinking?

Yes I think a pointy heel is what is needed, struggling to find the perfect one.

I’ve not got as far as bags or jewellery!

What about a more refined Mary-Jane style with a heel? These possibly? Although still pricey ...

I have a similar dress and I wear it with black tights and black high boots ( but it is a little bit on the short side for me...)

Thanks all. I struggle with anything cutting across the ankle, it really cuts my legs in two - so looking for something with no straps.

I do have some boots, but was hoping for shoes, albeit not ones that look more like work wear!

They are - but they're slingback, which you said you didn't want? 99% of heeled shoes right now are slingbacks!! If you wore fishnets or lacy tights with no "heel" they'd be fine though?

I’ve had some nice evening shoes from New Look in the past. Not somewhere I usually shop but I bought a really nice pair of pointy shoes with an asymmetric strap a couple of years ago.

I agree with PP I wouldn’t pair it with black shoes, too dull, better to introduce metallic or a pop of colour.
