Summer trousers for boys

My son won't wear shorts and I'd like to buy him some cool cotton trousers for summer. Not jeans or jogging bottoms or thick canvas chinos. Light and cool. Do they exist for children? And any idea why I might find them.

Next has good ones - very light and often have a roll-up button so you can make them 3/4 length, for paddling etc. I've also bought nice very light linen ones from there and also from Sainsbury's.
