This or This. I want to be able to wear it again as it is a lot of £, but I love the first one!!

There will be fairground rides (free ones! Am so used to over-priced children's fairs I go weak at the knees at the thought of a free fairground ride!) so I need to be able to drunkenly demurely gain access to the rides without falling flat on my face! Need to be able to get into a punt too!

they're both gorgeous bunting..
no 2 probably has more life in it. what's it for?

ingles2 · 08/06/2008 23:13

And what size and shape are you?

Ledodgy · 08/06/2008 23:13

N0 1 definately. You can dress it down with flat sandals and a bolero on another occasion.

ComeOVeneer · 08/06/2008 23:13

I prefer the first one. Second one looks "chunky" even without a person in.

eenybeeny · 08/06/2008 23:14

they are both great but I prefer the first one. Its very goddess like! You might get more wear out of the second one but the first one is just gooooooorrrrgeous.

Mamazon · 08/06/2008 23:14

I think they are both beautifull.
I prefer 1 and think there is less chance of flashing your knickers trying to get into the waltzer....but no2 may be better if you hope to wear it again

ingles2 · 08/06/2008 23:14

No 1 is lovely... but fairground? punts? mmmmmm not sure!

DirtySexyMummy · 08/06/2008 23:15

First one. Beautiful.

Ilovebunting · 08/06/2008 23:16

It's for the university ball-I was a size 10 but seem to have (maybe ever so slightly) put on a 8lbs since exams started! So my boobs are still tiny but my upper arms, bum, thighs and lower tum are HUGE! Am calorie controlling for the next two weeks though (I turned down TWO ice creams today, and have therefore saved myself 400 cals at least!!!).

the first one... is brilliant..
was at a Cambridge college ball last summer with fairground rides and a dress like that would have been perfect.

ingles2 · 08/06/2008 23:16

What about this one?
better length I think

nkf · 08/06/2008 23:17

The first one is more like a traditional ballgrown and the second one looks more useful and adaptable.

Ilovebunting · 08/06/2008 23:18

He he he which college jen? I wanted to go to Johns but couldn't afford a double ticket so am stuck at my college instead!! Sorry, back on subject!! I loved that one too ingles-I stroked it in the shop!!

Ilovebunting · 08/06/2008 23:21

Is it embarrassing if 30 other people show up in the same dress? Or do you just laugh it off? We haven't had much time to shop so all us girlies barged off to the same shops to get our ball gowns.

OP posts:
ingles2 · 08/06/2008 23:22

was it no good bunting?
the colour is lovely?

Ilovebunting · 08/06/2008 23:22

Right, I don't care if 30 other people ARE wearing it, the first one has been clicked-I love it too much! xx

OP posts:
DKMA · 08/06/2008 23:23

First one defo

Ilovebunting · 08/06/2008 23:23

Oh no I do love it, I'm just v pale skinned, so look like I'm ill if I wear anything too light!!! Or my upper body looks ok but my legs look awful!!!

OP posts:
ComeOVeneer · 08/06/2008 23:27

Then not the second one it is too light.

The first one is simple and sophisticated, go for it, and have a fab time. (am jealous, I once had a wardrobe full - well not full but you get my meaning - of dresses like that when I was at uni and we had loads of balls/socials/formals etc, now I never go anywhere that remotely requires a dress like that ).

jingleyjen · 08/06/2008 23:29

Robinson..
it was lots of fun, watching fireworks on the roof with bottle of champagne was brilliant.

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2008 23:29

well i am not keen on the colour or in fact too much the style but the first if either

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2008 23:31

i am going to a ball in a couple of weeks with fairround rides too

is that normal

it seems jolly odd to me

posh dresses and fairgrounds dont they get ruined

Ilovebunting · 08/06/2008 23:35

He he he jen, I must admit the free booze is a bit of a perk!! Think this is my last one until I leave now-babysitter+hotel+gown+ticket=one very poor mummy! Have been saving up all year though so WILL be on that 6am photograph!!! All my friends have just finished their degrees (most are vets or medics) and so have 6 years worth of medic ball gowns and dinner dresses in their wardrobes, hmmm, still wouldn't swap with them though-some of their stories are REVOLTING!

OP posts:
Ilovebunting · 08/06/2008 23:37

Yes they do get ruined, but I think that the organisers think we need to re-kindle our youth and therefore enjoy them, especially after too much wine! They don't realise they just bring back memories of the dc's crying because they can't go on the twirler of terror because they are only 4 and it costs £7!
