Help! None of my clothes fit - need a new capsule wardrobe!

For reasons unbeknown to me (probably stress) I’ve lost alot of weight over last 6 months and I’m not exaggerating when I say none of my clothes fit! I’ve gone from a 10-12 to a 6. I’m 34

Usually live in leggings, jeans, tops jumpers and dresses / skirts in the evening but even my leggings are noticeably big - even my pyjamas are loose! But can obviously live with that.

i expect at some point I will go back to a size 10 so I I have a small budget but I really do need some everyday and one nicer outfit as everything currently looks too big and I don’t feel good in it.

Black Friday suggestions of a capsule wardrobe?

I know this doesn't answer your question, but have you checked that out with your GP? That sounds like a lot of weight loss in a short time if you weren't trying to lose it.

Oh bless you thank you, I’m otherwise fit and well but it has been a stressful time and I probably haven’t been eating as much as I used to but I will keep an eye on things!

Uniqlo basics

https://www.uniqlo.com/fr/fr/women/skirts-and-dress/dresses

They are easy to dress up and down. You could get a couple of shift sort of dresses and belt them with a nice belt and thick tights or leggings underneath.

Certainly Uniqlo (or Community Clothing on a larger budget) for everyday. For dressing up

Zara

will give you celebratory clothes for very little money,

& Other Stories

now costs a bit more.

Not really sure of your actual budget, @Pixieknowle - perhaps these are too cheap?

I do honestly think you need to check your weight loss with a GP if you haven’t already done so.

Sorry but you shouldnt of dropped that many dress sizes in such a short space of time even with stress you’d literally only be eating 3-400 calories a day to drop like that, get checked out please.

Pixieknowle · 25/11/2025 12:03

Thank you I hadn’t considered Uniqlo!

I hadn’t really considered it to be worrying but maybe I will ask GP! Thank you
