Went to regional shopping centre today to find some wide leg jeans. Everything is high waisted!! I don’t want high waisted, they make me look fat. Where can I find mid/low rise wide leg jeans?? It shouldn’t be so hard 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you! I HATE high rise jeans! They do not suit me, I don’t think they look good and it makes me irrationally angry!

However, I can’t answer your query because I don’t like wide leg ones either! Diesel and River Island both do low/mid skinnies which I love so maybe they do some wide leg ones too?

oviraptor21 · 16/11/2025 21:36

Just glad that fashion is constantly revolving and high waisted jeans are now in.
Just cannot get on with low waisted or low rise. My waist gets cold and I constantly want to hitch them up. Gave up on them!
I'm sure they'll be back again soon.

I have looked for new jeans recently and M&S have mid rise jeans, as do Other Stories, Hush, John Lewis Anyday, Free People. Although can’t say in store but definitely online.

I'm looking at some mid rise wide leg ones from New Look. I have the high wasted Adelade ones which do look great but I've had to hitch them up with a belt now the weathers so wet.

bumptybum · 16/11/2025 21:54

There are lots of mid and low waisted jeans now. For a few years it was nothing but high, but mid and low have been making a return over the past couple of years.

Sunnycats · 16/11/2025 22:13

Try levis low loose - I love them and have now ordered a second pair!

kellygoeswest · 17/11/2025 12:46

I prefer high waist (on me) but Hollister and Abercrombie are really great for mid-rise/low-rise. I swear by their jeans, they're really good quality.

Look at Motel: https://www.motelrocks.com/collections/wide-leg-jeans

Superdry do a normal waist.

Hate high waist, I don't like jeans going over my menopausal belly like I'm pregnant.

My superdry ones stop at my belly button.

Was just coming on to say Motel Rocks. Their jeans look lovely on.

They don’t seem to do jeans at all any more! Went in there and they had 2 pairs in the whole shop.

I always order jeans online as they never have any in my size in the shops.

Confuzzleduzzled · 18/11/2025 10:37

I’ve got some primark mid waist wide leg jeans if you are after something cheaper.

RayonSunrise · 18/11/2025 11:15

Weekday does low rise straight, wide, flare and bootcut jeans.

Anotherdayanotherpound · 18/11/2025 11:16

I saw a selection in Arket last week

otherthoughtssareavailable · 18/11/2025 11:23

I'm exactly the same - cannot stand high rise and don't actually like mid-rise either. They just don't suit my shape at all. My teen daughter took me to Hollister and urban outfitters when I told her my requirement for low rise (she has a similar hatred for high rise - must have inherited my body shape). Levis do low rise online, but the staff in the shop looked at me with confusion when I asked in store. But, I concur with the previous poster who said their low loose are excellent. I do think that the modern low rise is NOT the low rise of old though - they are more subtle, bordering on mid-rise in many cases.

Fluffsicles · 23/11/2025 02:05

Everyone young is wearing mainly low waist now. Did you go into a store targeting older ladies? ASOS stocks every brand imaginable, type in 'jeans' tons will come up.

Pryceosh1987 · 23/11/2025 02:35

The world is your oyster. There is always a good shop that sells what we need, the search is the hard part.

Oblomov25 · 23/11/2025 05:04

I keep looking at what suits me but struggle. Found a video about a petite woman and measuring her rise, helped.

PotatoBreadForTheWin · 23/11/2025 06:55

try Abercrombie for mid or low rise jeans

Gwenhwyfar · 23/11/2025 19:30

I have (suspected) IBS. High waists literally make me ill.
