Hi OP, I'm a year older than you and on HRT but went through a stage early on when I was losing a lot of hair. It did stop! Or at least settle down.

I swear by a skin, hair and nail supplement - any old one that contains biotin. Not sure what your hair is like but don't tie it back tightly if possible. Also, my hair is curly and it might not work for you but I co-wash every other wash with conditioner - "wash" your hair with conditioner, then condition it with the same stuff. I find cheaper conditioners work better - Alberto Balsam works well for me. Your hair won't feel squeaky clean when you wash it like this but it does clean it without stripping it. Made a huge difference to the condition of my hair. I've tried all the expensive shampoos but didn't find any of them made as much difference as co-washing. Hope this helps.

Have you had your testosterone levels checked in case you have an androgen deficiency?
I'm assuming you're not already on testosterone as part of your HRT. Low T (but also high T) can cause thinning. I had very dry hair before I had T added and now it has returned to normal. So you have low libido or any other symptoms?

As previous poster mentioned, co washing is the only thing I've found helps.
I do a kind of 'faux co wash', meaning I do use shampoo but I coat my dry hair in conditioner first then just shampoo the roots. Then just rinse and condition as normal.
