Hair falling out with 4mo baby - tips to make it look thick again?

My hair has always been thin, but over pregnancy it got lovely and thick for the first time in my life. Over the past week I've literally lost massive clumps of hair when washing it, and my hair now looks half the thickness! Baby was born 4 months ago and read this is normal. I'm still breastfeeding.

I know it may sound vain but I really loved having beautiful hair! Am wondering if anyone has any tricks that made their hair look thick again? I've heard of people using caffeine shampoo / food supplements but are these just marketing or has anyone found they work? Or found anything else that helps? Certain hair styling products? My hair is naturally curly and I leave it that way (allow it to dry naturally, don't dye it and don't use straighteners/curlers) but it is very thin.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, ahh, I know how You are feeling, I’ve struggled with hair falling out too. I recently discovered a hair growth lotion that I’ve been using for 6 months, and I’m seeing result, my hair feels healthier, thicker and definitely fuller.
It took a 2 months to notice changes seeing these new little hairs, but with regular use, additionally a little scalp massage, and sulfate-free shampoos, it really works.
If you live in Europe, I will share the link below — it’s only available for delivery within EU countries. I just wanted to share it because it really helped me.

I can’t help with products, but I just wanted to empathise with you about your lovely thick pregnancy hair going to back to how it was before. I loved my hair when I was pregnant. I’ve got some photos from when my DC was teeny where my hair looked magnificent! Alas it didn’t last. Just be reassured that hair falling out at this stage is, sadly, normal. It will just reset to how it was before.
Sympathies!

I’ve found Pantene’s thickening shampoo and conditioner brilliant. Even my hairdresser commented on how thick my hair was feeling, without telling her.

Watermans shampoo is excellent.
