Coats for Iceland?

We’re heading to Iceland for new year and all probably need better coats. DD and I are petite while DS and DH are tall. Anyone care to recommend any brands they’ve used that worked? Were there for a week and likely to be out in the night northern light hunting etc. TIA

I went to Tromsø in March 2022. I have a Lands End down parka but it isn't waterproof, I also was toasty even on the Northern Lights trip (we also went to Finland - it's less cloudy).
I am looking out for something slightly less warm but definitely waterproof for DD for very cold mornings on the way to the school bus (we live in the NW, her bus is at 7.45am). She fancies a Mountain Warehouse parka but I am wondering about one of the Didriksons kids parkas - she's 11 and quite small but a size 6 women's might work.

@Fairislesweater doesn't your DD fancy the white Lands End parka? I would get that for DD if she wasn't a mucky pup!

Thanks all, ended up going with the landsend expedition down parkas - one each for all four of us so very spendy but 50% on Black Friday sale so a good deal. @drspouse the white parka is exactly what she went for in the end!

Sooo… parkas have arrived. Men’s will be fine. I hadn’t realised the fur isn’t removable from the hood on the ladies’ version which is annoying. DD doesn’t mine but I think it will annoy me. Plus my fur is about twice the thickness of hers! So possible back to the drawing board for me. Shame as otherwise it’s pretty perfect. The handwarmer pockets are great. More suggestions welcome. Would the seasalt janelle work with layers underneath do we think?
