Is this DIY accidental hair colour nice? Can't decide.

Background: am naturally grey but have always dyed my own hair either copper/auburn or fashion colours (red/pink/purple/blue) and played around with bleached money pieces etc.

Recently really went off the copper and also was finding the roots really difficult to manage so I stripped the colour out with extra strength colour remover.

After some DIY toning and cutting this is what I'm working with.

PROS:

Greys are much easier to manage and my hair is in much better condition.

CONS:

I don't feel as much like me. With the bob and the colour I feel rather.........sensible.

I'm used to a higher contrast between my hair and face.

My style is quite vintage and maximalist (lots of leopard print, 80s jumpers and piercings) and my hair doesn't feel like it fits my style as much now.

Should I keep it or dye a ridiculous colour for the Christmas work do?

Thanks everyone.

I think I might do a wee pink or lavender rinse before the Christmas works do and see how I feel after that.

The styling in this photo is not how I usually wear it. I was experimenting with a side part and it's definitely more Emily Gilmore that way. I think I might go back to centre part plus fringe and see if that helps.

It’s a lovely colour - keep it !

How about some clip in vivid coloured hair streaks for the works do? Or quirky accessories and makeup?

Looks a good strawberry blonde to me. I'd vote for some temporary streaks or glitter if you fancy something more glam for party season.
Can't see why strawberry blonde wouldn't work with the clothes style you describe. Keep the colour, but maybe get an edgier cut?

It’s a gorgeous colour but it doesn’t sound like your style at all so go for hair that makes you happy!

Really like it - what box dye/toner did you use?
