Do you mean what to do with stuff that no longer fits? I Vint it all. If it’s not good enough to Vint then it goes to recycling.

I have lost similar. I have separated my things into what fits now and what doesn't.

I have kept some favourite or expensive items in larger sizes (I don't trust myself yet to keep the weight off). I have donated or recycled anything in larger sizes that looks old, worn or dated. I didn't have huge numbers of nice clothes as I tended to buy what fit rather than what looked nice.

Yes things that don't fit or don't look right on me now. I feel like I meed to keep it, when deep down I know I shouldn't I dont have the room but I keep thinking, just incase

@SpringingOn
I'm worried that I will need it again, I will try everything on tomorrow and try and see if I can part with anything, none of it is hugely expensive I could try and sell some on vinted but last time I did that I couldn't sell it just got offered a pound or so and by the time I've bought parcel bags and went to different places to post it didn't feel worthwhile

Just get rid of it all because you’ll be needing a size 14 soon

Really? I would love a streamlined wardrobe, however it feels like I'm wasting them I don't know why this is a stumbling block for me

I kept my fat clothes and got rid of them but at bit at a time… some tents I was quite jubilant at binning but my nice stuff was much harder. It’s hard to explain but it takes a fair amount of confidence to ditch them…. I’ve kept best pyjamas and jeans and two jumpers Just In Case! Like an emergency clothing kit…You just do whatever makes you feel more comfortable

another thing is did was to buy again my favourite clothes on ebay before releasing the fat version into the wild. Congrats on the weight loss. It definitely takes a while for your mind to catch up!

Congratulations on the weight loss.

Anything faded, worn, damaged etc gets thrown out.

I have a bag of ‘next size down/up’ (depending on my weight) clothes in the loft. Mainly jeans, trousers and a few favourite tops and jackets. Maybe keep one of your original jeans so you have a reminder of how well you’ve done?

I really struggle with this too OP. I need to do a huge declutter including clothes. I fibd Vibted too time consuming for too little reward so have decided im just going to charity shop EVERYTHING thats too big or far too small, or that i havent worn for a year

Dollyparot200 · 14/11/2025 11:36

@Illbefinejustbloodyfine I'm going to do the same apart from keep one pair of jeans that are a bit on the small side as I'm hoping to lose a bit more

Yes I think this maybe what I'm struggling with, when I get something new I'm amazed it fits me and thanks its definitely been a hard slog I'm hoping to get to a 14
