Make up remover for mascara

Hi looking for recommendations for eye make up remover, I have Clarins balm that is pants, and a nivea one that has irritated my eyes. I need something that will remove my mascara without stripping away the skin around my eyeballs!

Hi! I'd look for Ingredients like mineral oil, jojoba oil, or caprylic/capric triglyceride that dissolve makeup gently and rinse clean without leaving a greasy film. Avoid anything with a lot of fragrance or essential oils near your eyes.

I also recommend the Dermalogica pre cleanse. I’ve used it for about 15 years and there’s no better product out there (I always come back to it). It gets all your make up off and doesn’t irritate the eyes (I rub it all into mine to get my mascara off!) The trick is to use a face cloth to get it all off, then I follow up with a second cleanse of a foaming face wash.

The Body Shop Camomile balm is a cheaper alternative. I like that it doesn’t drag the skin, which is my pet peeve for a lot of balms, which I find too thick.

Another vote for tubing mascara. My mascara used to smudge terribly (I’ve got hooded eyes, oily eyelids and long eyelashes) no matter what sort I tried, then I tried tubing. An absolute game changer and soaks off easily with warm water with no rubbing at all.

I use Hourglass Unlocked tubing mascara. I use an eyelash curler (because I have to use drops for an eye condition which makes the lashes grow). It’s great. I use CeraVe cleanser and a flannel. It works well for me. For context, I am 65.
