Question on the Coach city tote bag

TSnewbie · 11/11/2025 11:13

My daughter has her heart set on this tote bag to take to school. On some of the pictures it appears that it has two large internal pockets, on another picture it appears completely without these. Does anyone have one and can you confirm that it has these pockets? From the description I gather it doesn't, but then the pictures are a bit misleading. Can't save the pictures in a usable format but this is the bag: https://uk.coach.com/products/city-tote-bag-in-signature-canvas/CV976-IMXHE.html?frp=CV976+IMXHE

I have checked the pics and it looks like they have put the laptop in a laptop case so it looks like there is a compartment/pocket but there isn't.

What's wrong with that? DD has it, also uses it for school. What's the actual problem? It's a simple bag, hardly extravagant/the height of luxury or something, large enough for everything she needs.

It has one internal small zip pocket to the side, and then the main chamber/space, which is not divided in any way, OP.

Is it £200! my husband is a high earner an ive never had anything like that and I worked in an elite profession. it seems quite extravagant for a school bag to me. Buti f you have the money and she likes it, its very pretty.

My work bag is a Coach tote but not that one, I have had it for 7 years, it is just one large space with 1 zipped side pocket and 2 small pockets which I use for my phone and keys.

Even as an outlet purchase there is no way I would have bought something similar for my DDs when they were in school, even for 6th form.

It is extravagant for a school bag. I’d maybe buy it for a Xmas present but that’s all.

Your husband that you posted about saying he’s abusive? And won’t let you buy anything buy anything at all even though you have no mortgage and plenty of money. And who only likes low quality goods. That’s not a ‘normal’ way of living as was pointed out to you.

My dd had a coach bag for school and she is now using it for job interviews. It’s a great bag, good quality for the price and looks smart years later. She had a kanken before that which was £70 and lasted her all the way through university.
