Do high waisted, full brief no VPL knickers in a cotton material exist?

That's what I am looking for and can't find any that will tick all the boxes.

I am 52, in peri with IBS and endometriosis so high waisted and very comfy knickers are a must for me right now but I would still like them to be no VPL but those that are all seem to be in that awful nylon/polyamide material which always rides up my bum and feels very uncomfortable. I prefer pure cotton but I can not seem to find no VPL in pure cotton.

Any suggestions

Wirapa on Amazon.

The cotton material you want bulks out a seam, that's why they use these smooth "microfibre" materials in the "nvp" pants.
Have you tried sloggi?

I like these

Sorry, link failed. They are the Intimissimi cotton seamless high waisted shorts/french knickers.

I think you’ll struggle to find no VPL ones in pure cotton. M and S or Tui at Sainsbury’s do the best pure cotton full briefs. But you’ll have a line.

Primark

If they did it would probably be Sloggi.

No-VPL knickers are made by heat sealing or laser cutting the edge of the nylon/polyester fabric so it doesn’t need a lace or elastic edging. Cotton can’t be heat sealed like that as it doesn’t melt.

I did wonder if that is the issue. I haven't tried Sloggi, I will go google, thanks.

I always want pure cotton, but recently tried modal knickers from Sainsbury's and they have been a revelation!

very soft and comfortable and no line and not sweaty.

I have some no vpl pants from M&S they're so good if you want comfortable. I bought them in an emergency and they're my go to pants.

mixedcereal · 11/11/2025 11:39

The M&S multipack ones barely have a seam and are SO soft. I also size up

pottylolly · 11/11/2025 11:46

Only on Amazon and the cotton is usually so cheap it wears out. Try other natural materials like silk / viscose / bamboo to see if they’re any easier on your skin?

Gettingbysomehow · 11/11/2025 11:47

I always buy sloggi. They are worth every penny.
