Black Eyeliner! Best out there?

I like wearing black eyeliner but hate the smudging. Anyone out there who has found the best, non-smudge. I’ve tried a range, waterproof and nothing seems to work. Bored of having to go to the toilet, catching a glance at my black eyes when the eyeliner has smudged and having to wipe it with a tissue or my finger tips!

Shamelessly following for suggestions.

The best one I ever used was a Benefit one.

Unfortunately (but not for my bank balance) there isn’t a Benefit shop nearby so I’ve swapped to an Avon glimmerstick one. They do have something similar to the Benefit one so I’m going to try that one

Wonderskin pencils are better than VB and agree with PP - lasts all day. If you like a gel liner, Jones Road (Bobbi Brown's makeup brand now she isn't with Bobbi Brown) has been a god send for my oily lids.

Not wishing to hijack, but I love the look of black eyeliner on other people but am always unsure of how best to apply it, and worry about smudging
If anyone has any tips or recommendations for someone 50+ please do let me know. Thanks!

Jumping in shamelessly to ask if anyone has found a product for sensitive eyes - I have all but given up tightlining the upper and/or lower waterline with a pencil, my eyes start burning instantly. I usually have to push dark eyeshadow into the base of my lashes instead - I've had some luck with liquid eyeliner as close to the lashes as possible, but they never look very defined...

I bought Maxfactor’s waterproof black mascara and so far, it’s a game changer! I will buy the others ones soon and report back to you when I do!!
