Help me find a jacket to go with these trousers

Hi,

I've just bought these slim-fit cord trousers from M&S, and I really love them, but none of my jackets seem to go with them very well. Could someone suggest what might work? I was thinking a velvet blazer might work or a bomber jacket of some sort, but my fashion sense is not the best! TIA.

Id probably go with a fitted blazer or a casual jacket that was slightly cropped.

I have these and they’re great.
I have worn them with a Levi denim jacket (but I’m not a fashionista)

I was thinking along these lines, but I'm hopeless! Do you think a black velvet blazer would go or would it be too much?

Yes, they're not really my usual style, but I love them! They're really soft and warm too, which is a bonus.
