Seriously, I have a sensible knee length chest covered dress (kinda Jackie O ish?!?) from Coast to wear. It is blues and white. I have worn it once and was not happy with my shoes. And also hd no bag.
I also have no money so went to Tesco and got a white bag for £5 and therefore white shoes. Oh god it sounds awful now. I will have to search to see if I can find some....
What do you think so far? I feel they would be too slutty worn with a mini skirt......

I don't think they'd be slutty with the outfit you described, maybe with a mini skirt but it's the whole outfit that makes something slutty, not just one item!

I'd have suggested pewter for bag and/or shoes - it can be a bit prissy (esp with sensible dress) to be too matchy-matchy

OverMyDeadBody - I agree and because the dress is classy (imo) and tailored it takes the edge off.
Phew! Dress is not strapless, nor cleavagey or shorter than knee length (is on the knee). Top half is really quite prim.
I did worry about the matching handbag and shoes but was really struggling with colours. Tried silver but it really did not work....
Feel better now.
So are those fascinator headbands for weddings passe now?

Hmm. Going by your links Mrs B they are slutty then . They are an enclosed shoe though and the peep bit is small just showing big toe. Heels are white and spindley though and there in lies my insecurity. Have I bought white stilletoes??? Eeek!

Oh I'm aure they're fine - in fact the second non-slutty ones I postred (wiith the frill) would look shockingly frumpy with that dress

Shoes are like this but solid leather and white with no bow so actually only a little like this .
