Is it just me or are these the most revolting footwear ever in the history of the world. They make me physically sick.

OP posts:
MamaG · 06/06/2008 16:04

I'm not keen

cornsilk · 06/06/2008 16:04

yes they are ugly, in the same league as crocs

SoupDragon · 06/06/2008 16:04

No, Crocs are the most revolting footwear for adults ever in the history of the world.

SmoothandWilkie · 06/06/2008 16:04

LOVE THEM

Cornsilk - how DARE you compare them to nasty cheapo Crocs!!!

cornsilk · 06/06/2008 16:05

lol - yes you're right - they're not usually bright pink or yellow!

EffiePerine · 06/06/2008 16:05

I have big flat feet so would like genuine grubby Roman gladiator in them. Avoid.

MamaG · 06/06/2008 16:08

I'd rather wear glads than crocs I have to say

My mate tried to persuade me to buy some crocs yesterday after my (pg) feet swelled up

I'd rather hobble barefoot thank you!

discantus · 06/06/2008 16:09

If you have long skinny pins then they're lovely but for those of us not blessed with such legs they suck big time. Even though i'm not overweight gladiator sandals give me treetrunk short legs and make me look like a sad fashion victim. Give me a flattering wedge anyday...

SmoothandWilkie · 06/06/2008 16:12

Discantus - I am looking out for a nice pair of glads and will wear them with jeans or linen trousers - I don't have gorgeous enough legs for wearing with skirts - my legs are too weedy and skinny at the bottom!

blousy · 06/06/2008 16:18

What about these? here
From the crocs school of ugly bugly footwear!

waffletrees · 06/06/2008 16:19

They are vile. However, I think that I must be getting old as I think alot of the shoes this summer are bleurgh.

expatinscotland · 06/06/2008 16:21

I think they're fab - on 21-year-old 5ft., 10in. coltish girls with mile-long legs.

orangina · 06/06/2008 16:23

I loved them the first time round about 20 years ago when I was young with slim endless legs....
but not any more!

you are right, donut. They are grotesque. Everyone who wears them develops gladiatorial calves.

then when your calves are really hefty you can graduate to these

OverMyDeadBody · 06/06/2008 18:10

I think they are splendid actually, far nicer than those vile wedges people are walking around in, which always remind me of Venesuelan prostitutes.

pointydog · 06/06/2008 18:11

If you want to draw a little more attenmtion to humungo-calves, wear these little bobby dazzlers

OverMyDeadBody · 06/06/2008 18:11

Those.Are.Hideous.Pointy

CatIsSleepy · 06/06/2008 18:11

I like the swoony ones cod but why are they are so expensive?

OverMyDeadBody · 06/06/2008 18:12

trick is to only wear them if you have good legs

pointydog · 06/06/2008 18:12

I'd rather resemble a venezuelan prostitute that a butch rippling caesar

CatIsSleepy · 06/06/2008 18:12

pointydog those are truly grim
