Recommend me a warm short casual coat (puffer?)

I’ve been looking at north face puffers but conscious they are worn by so many teens. I’m late 40s, but look young. I need something fairly flattering, warm, comfy and good quality. Not for hiking, more for weekend with friends, sports sidelines with kids, national trust with family etc

I tried the Uniqlo down jacket but it looked far too bulky on my frame so I need something slimmer than that.

Any ideas?

Rains have nice puffers, good colours and the fabric feels nice

I have a really nice one from crew clothing company

The Varley ones are worth checking out and also and Woolwich

I’ve seen short cord puffers in new look I thought were lovely. The box shape is def what’s in just now.

This is what I mentioned I’d tried on. I so wanted to love it but it was just too bulky for my frame.

@thisist M&S have different thickness ones. Fairly baulky down to much more skimming. Personally I prefer them longer as I hate a warm top and cold legs! I’ve a couple from M&S and they wear well and look pretty good - plus they are warm.

I have one from M&S that I wore all winter but it just looks a bit cheap. It looks like it cost £35 and it did. I think I’m just hoping for a bit of an upgrade, but it’s proving tricky to find!

@thisist Pay more! Mine cost more but look good (I think)!

The North Face also has more form-fitting styles. The North Face itself is a sports brand, and there are no age restrictions. Of course, the most important thing is that you like it.
