hair curler / wand recommendations

My DD 13 desperately wants a hair curling iron/wand for xmas. She has thick, straight hair as do I and I've never been fussed about curling mine so no idea what to get her. I want to get something good quality so happy to spend up to £100 and the easier it is to use the better. Grateful for recommendations!

I got a cloud 9 one from their official outlet on eBay, it’s pretty decent tbh and has a good size barrel (though I’ve gone back to curling with a straightening iron as I prefer it!)

@ChocolateTeathank you I’ve seen that one - there is one that is kind of thinner than the other - which do you have?

If get her one of those tymo automatic curlers. I have similar and they’re so easy

Thanks for this recommendation, looks ideal for avoiding burnt fingers!

My daughter has the Tymo one and loves it. Easier to manage than a wand.

Avoid the mark hill one unless she’s super careful, I burn myself every single time! It’s ridiculously hot and has melted my heat proof mat and burnt me through the gloves too

Oh that sounds horrible! She is unfortuately not super careful so sounds like the Tymo one is a good choice :-)

Jumping on this thread, sorry! I've never heard of the brand Tymo but looking online, they seem pretty good.

My tween daughter has long fairly fine hair, would they also work with her hair type too do you think?
