Knee high boots what to wear them with

In my 50s gen x. Love a knee high boots and excited to see they are back in….but what to wear them with.?

first time round in my 20s it was mini dresses and skirts, black tights and knee high boots. Then it was skinny jeans and knee high boots (loved that look ) or occasionally midi dresses and boots.

now?

I will be so happy if the skinny jeans & high boots comes back!

I'm 55 and didn't think knee high boots had ever been out. I still wear them with short skirts just not quite as short as in my 20's. Thick tights. Loads of different colour choices now.
I like the more pointy, thin heel long boots with long silky skirts as well

This is how im wearing it today for my birthday

If your legs are good then short leather skirt, short tight tartan skirt or short jumper dress. Tights are not so thick this time round. Go for 30 denier.
if not then midi dress, fine knit with a flare skirt. Or take a look at Ralph Lauren or All Saints silk dresses, midi.

i love knee high boots! Wear with black tights and short dresses/skirts or black leggings and a longer tunic top. The best thing about winter is being able to wear long boots! They go with anything and everything!

I have a pair of flat black suede knee high boots. I love them and wore them out with a black mini dress, black tights and my long grey coat last weekend. I also wear them with mini skirts and 30 denier black tights. I don't really care about fashion trends and just buy things that are classic and that I feel good in, so I still wear my skinny jeans. My 15 year old daughter thinks I should bin them, but I did see a fashionista 40-something lady on Instagram saying that smart, dark blue skinny jeans are in fashion with knee high boots. No idea whether she's right, but I'm still wearing them!

I’ve always worn knee high boots, but don’t worry about what’s “in” to be honest. I dress for what suits me. They go well with skirts and tights, jumper dresses, shorter dresses with tights and skinny jeans and other tight fitting trousers that you can tuck into them.

I wasn’t aware they’d gone out of fashion?! Mind you, I just wear what I like. I love my multiple pairs (and they’re appropriate for my job so get my money’s worth out of them). I wear with mini, knee length, midi length or long skirts or dresses. I’ve never worn skinny jeans or leggings so they’d be a no for me, but you do you!!!

I wear my Western faux suede knee high boots with midi dressses and skinny jeans and jeggings.

Have had compliments from 3 people so far on them so they were a good buy. They're comfy too.

If you don't love black opaque tights I bought some 60 denier nude (Ebay) opaque tights the other day, not worn them out yet.

I've stuck with this look for years and will continue to do so regardless - my faithful fleece-lined skinnies and knee highs are my uniform in winter.

It's still like this now. Just wear it boldly.
