To cut in a fringe or not dilemma

I grew my fringe out before Covid, it took an eternity! (Or at least felt that way), but looking back at photos I really liked it. I am however 6 years older now, mid 50s, slightly longer than chin length bob ,all one length, poker straight hair.
Will I regret getting it cut back in?! Are Fringes in or out?

I’m debating a fringe too, I’m a few years younger than you.

thinking of going for a side fringe so it’s not as drastic as a full fringe.i had a fringe about 8 years ago and loved it at the time(apart from it needing cut every few weeks)

its only hair , it’ll grow.

I’ve no idea if they are in or out but I’ve had mine since I was 4 I’m now 46 and it’s what suits me . Although not everyone looks better with one . Maybe ask different people for their opinion .

I’d had a fringe since I was a child and grew it out during Covid thinking it would be easier to manage. I had it cut back in after seeing photos of me with no fringe - it just felt like I had too much face on show and didn’t look like me. Like the PP I think I just look better with a fringe.

I think some people look waaaay better with - Dakota johnson being one. I think I look slightly better without, but as Im 51 its instant botox! Which is absolutely ace as I don't do any of that, so it makes me look younger. I can only do super heavy with layers down the front - think goldie hawn style. So its go big or go home for me. Whispy fringes just look so shit. I have wavy hair with a massive cowslick in the front and the only fringe that works and looks good is the super heavy layered at the sides variety. I love it now. AND it looks so much nicer when i put it up (which is a lot). So Im team fringe now all the way.

I’m 56 and a fringe lover, however if I’d spent ages growing it out I don’t think I would get one cut back mainly because as you know they are quite high maintenance.
