Hi,

Thinking of replacing my Mitchum for this? Are they any good?

Just moved from Wild to Fussy as found Wild was making me stinky! I think they changed their formulation? But Wild has been great so far, lasts all day and smells nice.

HundredMilesAnHour · 30/10/2025 20:47

Fussy is better than Wild but Make Waves is better than Fussy. And Make Waves do anti-perspirant as well as deodorant.

So Make Waves is the winner. For me at least!

Cloudynews · 30/10/2025 20:57

I buy Fussy as I can pick it up in Sainsburys.i find you have to be generous in how much skin you cover.

Hows the parma violet one?

I’ve been using it for a few months now and have gotten the husband on to it, Parma violets is my current fave!

Icecreamhelps · 30/10/2025 21:21

Switched to fussy after mitchum burned my armpits. I love it no BO smells so far or sweat. I've just sunscribed to them so I don't have to worry about running out.

Beansandbats · 30/10/2025 21:28

The coconut one worked for me but another scent I can’t remember now wasn’t as good. Have gone back to coconut and it’s definitely working better.

EnchantingDecoration · 30/10/2025 21:45

I love it, really effective, easy to change the refills (unlike Wild which was really fiddly) and available in the shops so I don't have to faff about online. Definite winner for me.

Lonemumallthetime · 31/10/2025 05:06

ive fallen down a rabbit hole with the website as the shower gels look good too! All I initially wanted was to try the deodorant out

Yes, I don’t find the rosemary one as effective for some reason.

toooldforbrat · 31/10/2025 05:52

I prefer make waves to fussy.

however I find overall these deodorants don’t last long.

WildFlowerBees · 31/10/2025 05:57

I’ve used Fussy after I moved over from Wild when they sold out to Unilever. I prefer Fussy. Works fine for me.

muddledig · 03/04/2026 23:33

Interested if anyone has any more comparisons between Fussy and Make Waves? Thinking about giving Make Waves a go. I like Fussy but occasionally I notice that it’s not an anti-perspirant, and Make Waves have that as an option. Also I tried using regular roll-on Deoderant again for a day recently and oooooof I stank by the end of the day - please tell me I’m not the only person to experience this??

TheGreenBow · 03/04/2026 23:49

The best one I’ve ever used is Pitrok. I buy it off Amazon. I got wet arm pits using Fussy but Pitrok is a natural deodorant but also stops the sweatiness. Smells lovely and I never get BO. I like the smell of the pink one best.

thishouseisashittip · 03/04/2026 23:51

I don’t like it. Bought it a few weeks ago to try and combat peri meno change it sweat/bo smell and it’s not for me. The smell of the actual deodorant isn’t great, don’t like the texture (?) have to virtually scrape it on and it does something to my clothes

InfoSecInTheCity · 03/04/2026 23:59

I like the scents but they are deodorants not anti-perspirants so they don’t last as long as Mitchum and arent as effective. If I have a reasonably light day then it’s fine but if I’m active then it wears off very quick.

Edit - just realised this is a zombie thread.

Thanks, I agree they don’t last as long as Mitchum or similar, but to me I’ve liked Fussy over the last year as it’s quite moisturising and more natural than standard Deodorant, as well as using less plastic over time. Make Waves claim to do an anti-perspirant version so interested to see how that compares to Fussy.

Thankyou! Just to clarify, is it Make Waves you are talking about? Scraping it on doesn’t sound fun!

Thanks I’ve looked it up, gets great reviews. I think I tried something similar many years ago called Salt of the Earth, I can’t remember why I stopped using it tbh, will have to give Pitrok a go!

It’s brilliant, hopefully you’ll like it too 🙂 I wouldn’t use anything else now and my DDs also both use it so are not using the ones with aluminium etc in which I’m pleased about. I get the spray one too but I find the pink roll-on works best/smells nicest.

ZeppelinTits · 04/04/2026 00:25

I haven’t tried Fussy but I tried Wild and it was crap. However I started using AKT and will never use anything else. I have applied in the morning, full day then gone to a rave and eventually gotten home and I still don’t smell. At all. Never known anything which worked as well. Worth a try! It is pricey though and you can often find 10 or 15% codes kicking about online.

Idontjetwashthefucker · 04/04/2026 08:03

Since I hit late 40's I really started to pong a few hours after using my usual Sure deodorant, tried lots of others including all of those mentioned in this post. The only antiperspirant deodorant that works for me is a Uriage roll-on, keeps me dry, no more pong and has a very clean & fresh scent...pricey at £9.20 for 50ml but well worth it

I’m trialling Fussy after finishing my last Wild refill. Trial sizes. The minis are useful for travelling too.

Anyway, I’m 50 something, chubby and post menopausal. I exercise 3 times a week. It’s performed well so far. I’m trying to persuade the stinky teen boy to give it a go.

Making Waves is a natural deodorant and antiperspirant, highly rated by my friend.

@IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads I think one of the main selling points of Fussy is that it is aluminium free. Wild has aluminium in it and lots of women (me included) won't use that.

goldingoose · 04/04/2026 08:37

...as has Making Waves (aluminium)

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 04/04/2026 08:55

i love them, but I am not particularly sweaty. They do a trial pack of all their scents if you want to try them out - these are great for travelling too.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 04/04/2026 08:56
