Cornish Seaweed Bath Co. / hair products recommendations

Hi everyone
Looking for experiences using The Cornish Seaweed Bath Co. hair products. I have issues with hair loss and have recently had quite a few adverts for them pop up on my social media. Does anyone use them? They have overwhelmingly positive reviews - to the point where I wonder if it is too good to be true?
Would love some genuine feedback - or any other recommendations for hair loss products?
Thank you!

Quite underwhelmed to be honest. Nice product but didn't make any difference to me. I bought as well due to hair loss and breakage. Didn't notice any improvement. They do offer a money back guarantee within 60 days of purchase so you could still give it a go.

Underwhelming. And hell to get the conditioner out of the bottle.

I also suffer with hair loss and am constantly getting ads like this pop up. I saw a specialist dermatologist who is one of the UKs leading hair loss experts and he confirmed that no shampoo, serum, tonic etc will make a blind difference. The only thing that can potentially help with hair loss is minoxidil. Makes me so angry seeing these adverts with their bullshit claims!

Thank you everyone for your comments - really appreciate it. Although disappointed this doesn't seem to be the answer. @Itsallabouttea that is interesting to know, I also heard somewhere that minoxidil can make your hair fall out once you stop using it. Is that true?

Going against other posters here. It won’t solve hair loss but I love their products. My hair feels thicker and smoother and smells delicious since I switched, I am also getting lots of comments on my skin since using their organic face oil.

Might be better taking good quality collagen and silica supplements for hair loss.

It doesn't make your hair fall out, it just goes back to what it was before minoxidil afaik. So if it works for you, have to keep going. I do think tho minoxidil isn't recommended after a certain age, but it could give you nicer hair for a while. I am thinking about starting it myself, menopausal hair is thinning really badly on top, so much so I can feel the difference in the air, esp as it's getting colder.

Yes if you're using minoxidil for androgenic alopecia it's generally considered for life. You can have a shedding phase at first but then it should stabilise and new hair should grow. I have chronic telogen effluvium and have been prescribed it but not taken it as the potential side effects don't look great.

I use it all the time and I love it. Even my hairdresser commented on how much thicker my hair had become.
Have you tried Glowa? Same hairdresser recommended it.

Mangolover123 · 29/10/2025 11:20

Just got it two shampoos in and jury is still out.
Hard to lather so need a fair bit of product.
But my hair is shiny, I am going to try it for a bit longer.

Tootyfilou · 29/10/2025 13:19

I do not think it has stopped any hair loss, but my hair is super shiny and I love the smell. I will keep using.

I really liked the shampoo but completely agree about the conditioner being a pig to get out of the bottle (and it didn't suit my hair anyway).

I fell for the adverts!! 🫣 it gave me an incredibly itchy scalp, I kept going with it but then the itchiness began to move it my eyes and face. Stopped. All back to normal.

I love it. I have fine, thin hair. My hairdresser said my hair feels thicker and looks healthy. They're amazing when it comes to the money back guarantee though. I ordered the moisturiser, I think it was maybe £60 a tub? It smelled amazing but didn't feel like it was moisturising my skin at all. Wasn't drying it out either, was just meh. Just a couple of messages back and forth and a refund was started.

I don't find any issue with the lathering, foams up fine for me. I think it depends on what your hair usually gets washed with/is used to. I have dyed blonde hair too and it hasn't affected my colours at all. The shower gel is fab too, and the hair towel wrap thing 😁

Maybe try taking collagen powder (just mix it into your juice/coffee), collagen capsules and biotin? That's what I've been doing the past few months and have noticed a lot less shedding.

RampantIvy · 29/10/2025 23:50

Can anyone recommend a collagen powder and where to buy it.

Thank you.
