Corduroy Trousers suggestions please!

Please help me S&B wise-women! I realise I'm very late in the year to have thought of this, but I'd like suggestions for corduroy trousers with the following qualities....:

A very high waist (I'm tall hourglass and my natural waist is v high)

Mid or dark colour, not black because of fluff!

Wide, carrot, barrell or possibly straight. Not flares! Still got flashbacks from my soggy ankles of the '00s. Also whilst I'm not looking for cropped necessarily, I look better with a bit of ankle to balance out larger parts.

Crucially - a firm, flat front! A lot of high waisted trousers seem to billow out under the waist. I'm trying to avoid that.

High street budget

Tia!

I bought a couple of pairs of wide leg ones in M&S last year, a very dark brown and a burgundy pair. They do a range of lengths so might be worth a look? They’re a good fit on my pear shaped figure so might work for you, around £40 I think. I’m sure they have similar in this year on line in a range of colours

I bought some lovely Fatface ones but I have fat thighs and couldn’t deal with the noise when I walked!

Edit: Joanie trousers tend to have very high waists, but I’ve not looked to see if they have cords at the moment.

These are mid rise but I have the non-cord version and the come up high/flat around the stomach on me.

Another vote for M & S , they have a good variety of leg shapes and lengths.
Bought navy and chocolate brown straight leg pairs last winter, and they’ve worn very well .

I also bought wide legs cords from M&S last year and had them taken up to ankle length. I get lots of compliments on those!

These are lovely! Do you happen to own them and know how they fit sizewise? They've only got 32 inch waist left and helpfully my waist is 33 inches!

They’re in my basket! But have several items from Finnistere. Quality is excellent and easy returns if needed

I don't buy much from Next but they have some wide legged cords in a few colours, I have the brown.
Really comfy and wearable

That's hilarious! I might have the same noise issue oh dear ....

I hadn't thought of Joanie, heading to look now.

Palava have 3 styles of cord trousers. I don't wear trousers so can't tell about fit/sizes but their dresses and knitwear are excellent quality and fit true to size.
