3/4 sleeves on coat - how to lengthen?

I bought a lovely wool coat on Vinted, but didn't realise it has 3/4 sleeves, and my clothes underneath get wet. I do have some long gloves but it's more about keeping sleeves dry.

I was thinking about getting a dressmaker to add faux fur cuffs, but the sleeves have a nice pleated detail at the ends, so I'm not sure it would work.

Any suggestions? I will try to add a couple of pictures.

Oh it’s gorgeous !
Part of the charm is the 3/4 sleeves … don’t lengthen.. it would loose something.
I have similar and I wear wrist warmers with mine so my fingers are free.. wrist warmers are surprisingly warm!
You could get some purple to match coat or go contrasting.. I have a bright red pair.

Came on to say the same about wrist warmers - that sleeve detail on the coat is too nice to alter!
The only other thing I can think of would be to add a piece like a layered sleeve somehow (but may then be too constricting…)
Definitely wouldn’t do a faux fur cuff.

I used to have a 3/4 sleeve coat. Very stylish but not entirely practical. I was wearing it with long gloves. That coukd be an alternative to sleeve extention.

I saw cashmere wrist warmers on offer on tk Maxx website recently

Wear shorter sleeves under it, or ruche them. Long gloves or wrist warmers as PPs say.

Gloves with a fur trim? Same look without the faff

You are all right, of course.. thank you.

Gloves/wristwarmers it is.

It's a design feature, and lengthening them would probably look awful.

As a dressmaker, I know it's always quite difficult to make something bigger/longer. And those sleeves are designed as 3/4 length, in terns of te balance of the coat & its design.

Wear long gloves or cashmere wrist warmers.

I wear wrist warmers too

it might not have been the solution for your particular coat with its cuff detail but I am very grateful to have been inspired by the fur cuffs idea. I bought a nice mushroom coloured wool Jaeger coat from Vinted that turned out to have comically short sleeves, I don't even think it is supposed to be a bracelet sleeve design. After reading this I bought three different pairs of fake fur cuffs/wrist warmers from Amazon to try. Two were too big and fluffy, but one is perfect, not too big and plain dark brown. I'm going to get a dressmaker to attach them to the coat, they lengthen the sleeves perfectly. Thank you!
