How to winterise this dress?

This is not my dress but it’s very similar.

i am going on a “slightly Halloween themed” hen do tomorrow. Eg, black dress and witches hat. I was thinking of wearing this dress which I already have ( plain red tshirt midi style dress) with some devil horns as I already have these. However with the weather forecast it seems I will need a coat. What type would you wear with this dress? In the summer I wore a denim jacket but that wont cut it tomorrow!

Have you got a long black coat or even a leather jacket?

I've got a red jersey dress (straight rather than gathered though) and I wore it last weekend with a black leather jacket (biker-ish style), black tights and black/leopard print ankle boots

A black leather jacket would be good, you could always layer a black cardigan underneath if you were still cold.
