Winter Graduation - what to wear!

DD is graduating in January. I'm petite, under 5ft and size 10 which complicates shopping! I'll probably need a suitable coat to go with any outfit. I can't afford to spend label prices - around £250 for everything. Any ideas to help me out please?

I’ve just bought a dress in Zara for my daughters in November. Plan on wearing a little cardy and long coat

If you want something smart the Me and Em petite range might be a good place to start. Although slightly above your budget you should be able to take advantage of inevitable sales between now and January.

I would wear a wool mini dress, tights and long coat. With brogues.

These Next knee high low block heel suede boots are great if you do decide to wear a dress or skirt, they come in 5 colours and are £49

I could fancy a wool dress but I have a problem getting them to sit right as even the petite are often too long.

I’m five feet one and find Hobbs good for coats. I have a wool one that’s just above the knee and lots of dresses and shorts the same length. I wear them with tights and suede boots.

This M&S coat is nice.

I've just ordered a beautiful Hobbs green dress to try by coincidence. Good to know they fit well.

No fashion advice (because I am hideously unfashionable) but whatever you do take an umbrella for going between uni buildings etc, our last few winter graduations where I work have been enjoyable but a weather washout!
i hope you all have a great time celebrating x

I really like that whole M & S look @ByTwinklyDreamer it’s very Meghan Markle!
