My daughter wants a major restyle... she has birthday money from her grandparents so can splash out. She is looking to go from having long unstyled hair to something like a wolf cut.. her hair is think and wavy and she doesn't really have a habit of blow drying or styling.

Recommendations welcome please!!
(She is 19 and a student.)

Brandon at Fergal Doyle is good but not cheap.
A&K Transformations is up by the uni campus and does decent student discount and is good too.

She needs to find a stylist who can work with wavy hair. A wolf cut can look great but if not cut according to the wave pattern it will be unmanageable.

This actress has a nice cut. It has grown a bit since then, and it looks a good 'growing out style' if funding regular trims is beyond a student's budget.
I'll look for a more recent photo, so you can see what I mean.

It's one of those cuts where I've thought 'I like her hair', which is unusual for me, because I tend to like styles that might work for me.

I have wavy hair and use a great hairdresser who works out of her house (so cheaper) but it’s outside of the city, if she fancies a bus trip to the sea pm me for details. Alternatively I suggest she looks outside of the city centre for more affordable options, the big salons are ££££

Try Neil Marshall.

He's "neil marshall hair" on Instagram.

I used to go to him for years when I lived in the area and he worked at Hobbs. He seems to have gone self employed since.

I was a bit dubious the first time I went to see him because his own personal look is very different to what I was going for, but he's a wonderful hairdresser.

Not sure if that works, but Betties and Baldwins on small street does great wolf cuts.

Be really careful with a wolf cut and check the hairdresser know what they are doing. My DD had one, god knows where she found the hairdresser but it looked awful and her hair was far too thin to hold it. It has grown out a lot now and I’ve persuaded her to let me take her to my hairdresser who costs a small fortune to tidy it up.
