Help...what to wear to a gig when your 40+ short and size 16!

Just that really...we've been invited to a punk rock gig in a local bar...I'm 42, 5ft 1, size 14/16 with massive boobs (36gg). I have some nice black jeans and trainers, but I'm totally stuck with what to wear on top and with accessories. I was looking at some flowy halternecks with built in bra, but not sure they'll provide enough support. Or a nice t shirt? I never go out, so all my clothes are a bit lacking!

I wear Band T's - usually of gig before, black kick flares, oversize denim black jacket or leopard print jacket.

I'm taller than you but also have massive boobs. I find a V neck much more flattering than halternecks because the eye goes up and the V rather than left and right across the bust.

Is if a gig where you are standing, dancing, jumping or something where you are sitting at a table having drinks? If the former, I'd look for a V neck T-shirt if the latter then a V neck blouse.

A band tee cut into a v neck? It's really easy, there are instructions online.

Any brands of graphic tshirt or band tshirts that you can recommend. I'm not into music massively...feel I'm going to stick out like a sore thumb!

Usually I’d recommend wearing one of a band you actually like!

Theres lots of band t-shirts in Primark at the moment, maybe The Pogues, Ozzy Osbourne or Guns N Roses would suffice.

Have a look at what the riot women were wearing on stage in the series for inspiration.

M and S last time I went in looked like a fetish club with studs and fake leather everywhere, you might find something in there.

I think you're over thinking it. What would you wear to go to an ok'ish pub?

I'd wear whatever non- work clothes I'd put on. I don't like band t-shirts but if you've got some fine, but if it's not your thing I wouldn't buy one specially. A flowy halterneck with an in built bra is OTT. You must have some shirts/ hoodies/ t-shirts surely?

I'd wear black loose T-shirt, black jeans, and biker style jacket (get one in charity shop)
